It's 2015. We may not have Hoverboards or flying cars, but we will get power laces: the Nike Mag is confirmed for 2015.
In 1988, Tinker Hatfield created the futuristic Nike Air Mag sneaker for the film Back To The Future II, which took place in 2015. They are one of the most iconic sneakers in history, and not only lit up, but auto-laced; a sneaker heads dream. In 2011, Nike released the Air Mag for the first time. 1,500 pairs were auctioned off, exclusively on eBay. While they were a near perfect replication, one thing they were missing was the power laces feature.
